Prince AndrewBritish royal family news shows that a civil suit filed in New York this week claims that, “Prince Andrew has repeatedly refused to help US authorities with their criminal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell despite publicly stating he would.” The suit was brought by Virginia Roberts who filed a civil suit against Andrew.

The documents claim that, “she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions in 2001: at Maxwell’s London townhouse, at Epstein’s Manhattan mansion, and on the financier’s private Caribbean island,” according to the Daily Mail.

Royal Family News – Prince Andrew Is Accused

Prince Andrew denies the charges made by Roberts. He has used the excuse of being at a Pizza Express in Woking to deny her allegation they were together at a London nightclub before having sex.

The lawsuit points out that Prince Andrew “publicly pledged” to help the US authorities with their investigations but, “Despite this public pledge, Prince Andrew has refused to cooperate with U.S. authorities.”

The documents further claim that Andrew and his representatives, “have responded by escalating their vile and baseless attacks on [Roberts].”

Royal Family News – Will Prince Andrew Testify?

In November, 2019 Prince Andrew issued a statement announcing that he was stepping down from his Royal duties due to his, “ill-judged association with Jeffrey Epstein.”

The Duke said he, “deeply sympathised with everyone affected … Of course, I am willing to help any appropriate law enforcement agency with their investigations, if required.”

Roberts’ lawsuit counters that the former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Geoffrey Berman, told the BBC in 2020, that Andrew gave “zero co-operation” despite requests to do so from prosecutors and the FBI.

In 2019 The Duke Told The BBC That He Never Had Sex With Roberts, Saying, “It Didn’t Happen.”

He went on to say in the interview that he never saw nor suspected suspicious behavior when visiting Epstein’s homes. He was asked point blank: “You seem utterly convinced you’re telling the truth, would you be willing to testify or give a statement under oath if you were asked?” to which he replied, “Well I’m like everybody else and I will have to take all the legal advice that there was before I was to do that sort of thing. But if push came to shove and the legal advice was to do so, then I would be duty bound to do so.”
