The Sunday Times reported the news that Prince Charles, “personally took money from Bakr bin Laden, and brother Shafiq. A spokesperson for Clarence House has disputed some of the claims in the report but confirmed that the charity accepted the money. Bakr serves as the head of the Saudi family and both men are half-brothers to the mastermind behind al Qaeda.”
Prince Charles is Queen Elizabeth’s oldest son and heir to the British throne.

Furthermore, Clarence House told Fox News Digital in a statement: “The Prince of Wales’ Charitable Fund has assured us that thorough due diligence was undertaken in accepting this donation. The decision to accept was taken by the charity’s Trustees alone and any attempt to characterize it otherwise is false.”
The now questioned deal allegedly occurred on October 30, 2013, twelve years after bin Laden attacked America on Sept. 11, 2001.
Prince Charles Accepted Questionable Money
According to The Sunday Times, Prince Charles took the money even after he was advised not to by Clarence House and the Prince of Wales Charitable Fund (PWCF).
The outlet also reported that, “Charles was advised to return the donation, however a Clarence House spokesperson disputed those claims to Fox News Digital on Saturday.”
Neither Bakr nor Shafiq bin Laden have been connected to terrorism; they are related to Usama by their father, Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden, who became, “the wealthiest non-royal after founding the BinLadin Group.” He died in a plane crash in 1967.
Does Prince Charles Need to Explain Himself?
The news comes on heels of other controversial intel that emerged in June, namely that Charles accepted a large sum of money from a member of the Qatari government. In that instance, Charles’ reps denied any wrongdoing despite Charles allegedly, “accepting bags full of cash as charity donations from a Qatari politician.”
It was also The Sunday Times who reported the news that Charles took $3.2 million from Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, the former prime minister of Qatar.
