Royal family news reveals that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, seem to want to climb the golden ladder and grab the brass ring of fame—but right now they’re only at infamy. One royal expert had something to say about their aspirations and we dissect the latest dish here.
Royal pundit Daniela Elser spared no punches when she wrote on News.com.au that Harry and Meghan are “defined by their royal roles” but do little to earn them. In fact she scolded them for painting themselves as adjacent “to the throne” without performing “service and do-goodery.”

She wrote “My point is, the Sussexes still clearly want to be known by their royal titles and defined by their adjacency to the throne. A fact that may or may not have something to do with the sound of cash registers ringing in the background.” Ka-ching.
She went on to ask why they aren’t doing more to earn their royal connection: “shouldn’t they be holding themselves to the same standards of service and do-goodery? Except the Sussexes circa 2023 seem much better at, and more interested in, promoting themselves or fighting their pet fights than setting the charity world on fire.”

In her piece she remembered for all of us that in 2021, “the Sussexes infamously put out a statement pointing out that ‘service is universal,’ which it definitely is. But you have to actually do the service and all the boring bits that entail. Not just talk about it.” In March 2020 the couple ditched the monarchy the late Queen Elizabeth allowed them to keep their titles.
She’s not wrong, everyone now knows to call Meghan ‘Duchess” and just a couple of months ago they wrangled Prince and Princess titles for their son and daughter. Also, Harry used his title on the cover of his bio “Spare” in which he dragged the monarchy and his family six ways to Sunday.
Royal Family News: Harry and Meghan’s Titles
Is Elser just blowing smoke or is she on to something in regard to the couple’s work ethic? By her count she is correct in saying that Harry and Meghan’s charity work is puny compared to working royals.
She notes that the pair have promoted their charity work just four times in the past six months. In contrast, their charity, Archewell Foundation has raised $13M since their defection but at last count they had only given away a measly three million dollars. Markle is a social- climbing phony. Ever since she claimed we in the USA don’t know what goes on within the royal family, she basically announced herself a liar. The tabloids at every checkout counter here are rife with stories of the royal family! She schemed to bag Prince Harry, and unfortunately for him and his family, Harry couldn’t see through her fake naivete’ and fell for her trickery hook, line and sinker. His stupidity is deserving of all Markle’s “charms”. His family does not deserve her however, and it’s good the Markles are gone from England. I think King Charles and the whole family are saying good riddance to both Markle and her puppet, Harry.
