British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be closer to their goal of getting inside the White House than anyone suspected. In September, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared in a Time 100 video and talked about the 2020 presidential race. Their couched terms and carefully worded phrases left everyone within earshot sure that they were implicitly endorsing President-elect Joe Biden.

They were roundly criticized here and in the UK where royals do not participate in politics. Not only were they accused in the US of “interfering” with the election, but they also broke royal family protocol.

Royal Family News: Are Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Getting To The White House Sooner Than Expected?

On top of all the criticism, President Donald Trump weighed in on their inappropriate conduct saying, he was “not a fan” of Meghan’s and wished Harry “a lot of luck” with her “because he’s going to need it.”

Now it’s come out that Harry has had an acquaintance with incoming First Lady Jill Biden for nearly a decade. Will she invite Harry and Meghan to visit the White House if the president-elect is sworn in on Jan. 20?

How Did Jill Biden And Prince Harry Forge A Common Bond?

Harry and Jill Biden met in May 2012 in Washington, D.C. at a reception for American and British wounded soldiers. At that time Megxit was just a nonsensical word and Harry was still a working royal who was representing the Royal Family on an official visit.

Of the pair, an insider told Best Life, “They liked each other immediately. It was their shared dedication to the military that helped forge their bond. The Duke spent a decade serving in the British Army, including two tours in Afghanistan, and Dr. Biden’s late stepson, Beau Biden, was a major in the U.S. Army who served in Iraq. In 2014 Jill Biden traveled to London alone to support Harry at the inaugural Invictus Games. The two were side by side, pictured often as they laughed together. At the time Joe Biden joked with a reporter from The Guardian about the pair saying, “My wife was with Prince Harry at the Invictus Games. And I read in The Guardian, or one of them, and it says—I’m paraphrasing—’everywhere Prince Harry went, he had this blonde woman on his arm.’ The vice president’s wife! I’m a little worried here, you know what I mean?”

We’re sure that he was being silly, and it remains to be seen if Harry and Meghan are accorded any preferential treatment based on a few discussions that happened years ago.
