Prince Harry and Meghan Markle founded the Archewell foundation and its debut year reportedly found them awash in cash.
The group’s first impact report dropped on Sunday and showed that the thirsty pair took in $13 million and gave away $3 million. The causes included aiding with Afghan and Ukrainian refugee relief centers and resettlement, vaccine equity, and supporting women-owned small businesses.

To be more specific, the cash provided 12.66 million COVID-19 vaccines through Global Citizen, and assisted resettlement of refugees through Operations Allies Welcome and Welcome. A reported 50,000 meals went to the World Central Kitchen, and they funded something called Rebooting Social Media at Harvard University wherein a guide on, “fostering positive masculinity,” was developed.

The foundation’s co-executive directors, James Holt and Shauna Nep, released a statement saying: “We believe that philanthropic work is more than a handout, it’s a hand held. To activate this belief, we independently create dynamic and impactful programming to serve communities in need. We also partner with key organizations and leaders to identify immediate needs, build meaningful initiatives, and drive long-term change.”
