Royal Family News: Prince Harry And Meghan Snub Queen On Her Platinum Jubilee

British royal family news shows that Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Excess did not publicly acknowledge Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. The occasion denotes 70 years on the throne and was celebrated on February 6, with world leaders across the globe sending congratulations to the monarch.

Her Majesty also made headlines this weekend for a statement declaring her support of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.

Her Platinum Jubilee statement included a declaration that it was her, “sincere wish,” for Camilla to be Queen Consort when Charles is crowned king. In response, Clarence House stated that Charles and Camilla were, “touched and honored,” by the queen’s words of support.

Charles added that he was, “deeply conscious of the honor,” accorded to his, “darling wife.” It was thought that Camilla, Charles’ second wife, would be given the title Princess Consort. In the past the public have had mixed sentiments on Camilla’s role, both in shaking up his first marriage and as a representative of the monarchy.

Harry and Meghan’s failure to acknowledge the Queen and her Jubilee is widely seen by royal experts as a snub of Harry’s grandmother. The thirsty pair ditched the monarchy for a life steeped in “financial freedom” and have dragged his family with ugly outbursts about everything from the loss of his allowance to being a victim of “inherited pain.” Maybe he meant he is a pain?

The couple live in a $14million mansion in Montecito, California, and while they have dropped any pretense of performing royal duties, they continue to demand royal perks. This month it emerged that Harry threatened to sue his grandmother if she does not give him the same level of security that she has.

That outburst caused even more scorn to be heaped upon the disgraced pair following last year’s ugly mudslinging on an Oprah Winfrey tell-all.

Royal Family News – Will Harry Do The Right Thing?

Given the circumstances, it is not known if Harry will attend any of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations set to take place over a four day bank holiday this summer from June 2 to 5.
