British royal family news spills the anniversary dirt that it’s officially one year to the date that Prince Harry, Duke Of Sussex and Meghan Markle told the world of their ambitious and unprecedented plan to step down as senior members of the UK Royal Family.
The brash move was quickly dubbed Megxit because of the prevailing belief that Meghan was the driver of the bus that ran down his family and Harry was merely the crossing guard. Not so fast royal fans! According to a new report from Vanity Fair, Hollyweird Harry was actually steering the rig and Meghan was in the passenger seat.
According to the insider, “It came to the point where he wanted a different way of life. Meghan was simply the catalyst.”
Royal Family News: Megxit is One Year Old
The Vanity Fair report is bolstered by another stunning reveal from royal biographer Robert Lacey who is a consultant on Netflix’s The Crown. He told the mag that the rude earth-shaking Instagram announcement was not their Plan A.
“Harry and Meghan had put a great deal of thought into trying to create something that would work for both sides, but that was all blown when their plans were leaked to the press,” Lacey explained.

“Harry was trying to get Charles, William, and the queen to approve a plan, which they wanted in writing. Harry wanted to talk face-to-face because he was worried it would leak,” Lacey continued. “Reluctantly, he did put it in writing, it did leak, and that led to the Sussexes making the announcement.”
Actually that makes sense because once again it fits the convenient narrative that the Markle’s incredibly tone deaf behavior is someone else’s fault.
Understandably the royal family, the one that raised and coddled Harry from birth was upset and confused by his vulgar action. Be that as it may, blithe Harry reportedly gives zero clucks about ditching his role and moving to the US.
Miracle of miracles, the time and space between them has reportedly given Harry and the Royal Family the chance to mend fences.
Royal Family News: An Infamous Day is Celebrated
The Big Move also benefited Harry and Meghan’s relationship according to their gushing biographer Omid Scobie. He told Vanity Fair, “They’ve proved that they can master the challenge when it comes their way. When you look at everything they’ve faced, nothing has gone to plan but they’ve remained positive and it’s the support they give each other that gets them through.”

I don't for one minute believe it was entirely down to Harry. There is so much about the whole thing that wreaks of Me-gain's plans to further "her" ambitions using Harry as her ticket.
It doesn't really matter who decided what. The fact is Harry and wife wanted to leave. The Queen wasn't apparently give enough notice. This resulted in both parties not being entirely satisfied with the situation. The result Harry lost military duties he still fancied keeping and the Royals getting trashed in some tacky book. Now the trial period is up for Harry and Megan and whilst their personal family disagreements are no one's business but their own, the UK, Commonwealth and even Americans have a right to know where things stand politically and professionally. We can't keep hearing about naive Harry wants military duties in a country he has abandoned. In all fairness to the American people a British prince should not be speaking to their nation on political matters, it doesn't matter who he favours politically, it's not appropriate. The bottom line is it would be better for Harry, Megan the Royals and the public if this messy situation was sorted out. Harry and Mrs are like a loose cannon going off in every direction pissing people off with their lectures, demands etc. Is the Queen afraid to rein Harry in? Or are the Royals involved in these money making deals, is Harry just the front man? The longer this situation goes it raises more questions. It's harmful to the monarchy, the lines between royalty and rich celebrity Harry are being blurred, it's not fair on the Queens subjects.
