Royal Family News: Prince Harry Feared Meghan Would Leave Him, Lashed Out At Media

British royal family news shows that back in 2016 then-Prince Harry issued a statement asking the media and the public to respect the privacy of his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle. It read in part, that he realized that there was, “significant curiosity about his private life,” but asked that everyone dial it down a notch and respect their privacy once word got out that he was dating the former game show hostess.

He added words like “worried” and “deeply disappointed” that he had not been able to “protect” Meghan from the “abuse and harassment” and the “sexism and racism” she was subjected to by “social media trolls and web article comments,” according to Hello!

What got Prince Harry so garrulous and actually talking to the media instead of suing the press? Harry is better known for using the strong arm of the law to get what he wants, but back in the old days he was still using his manners as a member of the royal family.

Royal Family News – Harry Used To Use His Manners

According to The Times, Prince Harry issue a public statement about his personal life over fears that Meghan would end their relationship. As if.

“Harry has seen previous high-profile relationships end because of the press attention that came with dating a member of the royal family. His former girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, revealed in 2017 that she was unable to “cope” with being in the spotlight alongside Harry.”

Harry’s fears were unfounded as he and Meghan wed in 2018 and since then have made a big show of ditching the royals for “financial freedom” while at the same time trashing them publicly. A lot changed after Harry met Meghan.

Davy is no Meghan and she told The Times, “It was so full-on: crazy and scary and uncomfortable. I found it very difficult when it was bad. I couldn’t cope.”

Prince Harry’s statement was written by Jason Knauf, his communications secretary. Ironically, Knauf found it necessary to bring allegations of Meghan bullying palace staff to light years later. Like we said, things changed dramatically after Meghan entered Harry’s life.

But back before these two thirsty individuals married, Knauf said on Harry’s behalf: “Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her. It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm.”
