British royal family news reveals Liz Garbus, the woman who directed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s Netflix reality show Harry & Meghan, is clapping back at those who did not appreciate her cinema veritas.

Garbus was interviewed by Vanity Fair on January 24. She spilled behind the scenes tales about the trashy couple who have become persona non grata in Hollywood, the town they once hoped to conquer.

What did Garbus have to say? She dished about the British press and the British Royal Family and how they treat the Hollywood Hoboes. According to her, filming the documentary was like, “a surreal immersion exercise into the alleged palace mind games.”

She sayeth: “For instance, Buckingham Palace said that we didn’t reach out for comment [on the docuseries] when we did. They did that to discredit us…and by discrediting us, they can discredit the content of the show.” Actually, Harry and his once frostbitten penis and Meghan’s exaggerated royal curtsy accomplished that nicely thank you.

But the drama monger had more to say: “We lived through some of those moments that were a little bit like Alice Through the Looking Glass.”

Garbus also defended the Markles against the media coverage in the aftermath of the wretched docushow. She pointed to British TV host Jeremy Clarkson who, like Piers Morgan before him, expressed his thoughts about the Markle circus. And like Piers, he was cancelled in the land that supposedly honors freedom of speech. Even when Clarkson issued an apology, H and M rejected it—now who’s the brat?

Their statement read: “While a new public apology has been issued today by Mr. Clarkson, what remains to be addressed is his long-standing pattern of writing articles that spread hate rhetoric, dangerous conspiracy theories, and misogyny. Unless each of his other pieces were also written ‘in a hurry,’ as he states, it is clear that this is not an isolated incident shared in haste, but rather a series of articles shared in hate.” Tell us royal fans, do the Markles deserve to be defended when they act so juvenile, even when they are apologized to?
