Royal Family News: Prince Harry Says Netflix’s The Crown Is More Truthful Than The UK Media

British royal family news reveals that the cast of Netflix’s controversial series on the United Kingdom royal family, The Crown, admit they worry about how the family feels about the Netflix series. They needn’t worry though, at least one of the more outspoken, vocal members (but not a working member) seems to approve.

Who is the traitor? None other than the man formerly known as Prince, Harry. Hollywood Harry just gushed about the show that is giving his family fits and dragging them through the mud. He even knows who he wants to play him when the time comes!

It’s too early for April Fool’s, this is the stone cold truth. Harry actually likes The Crown but it doesn’t end there. He believes more in the veracity of its content than that which is printed in the UK media. Harry, the fitting for your dunce cap is in 15 minutes, when your fame is over.

Season 1 of The Crown debuted on Netflix in 2016 with Claire Foy as the queen. “I would hate the idea of her watching it,” Foy told Town & Country about the monarch tuning in to the show. “When you’re playing a real person, you never want to be ghoulish. I don’t want to pick apart a person. I want to invent someone. So, I would hate for her to watch it and think I overdramatized anything.”

Prince Harry apparently has no such qualms for his grandmother’s feelings. He defended the heavily criticized series saying, “They don’t pretend to be news … But it’s loosely based on the truth,” the prince said on The Late Late Show With James Corden on Thursday.

He wasn’t finished extolling the virtues of The Crown however. “It gives you a rough idea about what that lifestyle, what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that. I’m way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family, or my wife, or myself.”

Harry’s warm feelings for the show that is playing fast and loose with the truth about his family are not echoed by royal experts. Many have called for the show to have a disclaimer which alerts viewers to the fact that it is a heavily produced work of fiction.
