Royal Family News: Prince Harry To Pull Out Of Princess Diana Trip Following Frosty UK Reception

British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex might do the unthinkable and ditch his responsibility to unveil a statue of his late mother Princess Diana.

The commemoration takes place in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace on July 1 which would have been Diana’s 60th birthday. He is scheduled to appear but some experts are speculating about his willingness to face his family after he trashed them to Oprah Winfrey.

Given his track record, it’s not beyond the pale to think that the Duke of Sussex would behave badly with his family. Based on his disrespectful conduct to date it should not be surprising that he was not welcomed back with open arms by some family members when he returned to the UK this month for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip.

Before he ripped his family on tv it was widely expected that he would return for the unveiling of his late mother’s statue which he commissioned along with his brother Prince William.

Now, royal watcher, Russell Myers suggests Harry may duck out of his responsibility.

Royal Family News – Prince Harry Is Due Back In The UK

He told TalkRADIO host Kevin O’Sullivan, “Some quarters of the family did give him a frosty reception and perhaps that did shock him somewhat.”

He went on to predict that Harry is not beyond using the birth of his second child, due this summer, as a “convenient excuse” to avoid going back to face the music in the UK.

He said, “I think he may have been a bit shocked by the cool reception he got from his family, which begs the question, will he come back for the unveiling of the Diana memorial with his brother in July? Or will he pull out of that?”

Royal Family News – Will Prince Harry Shock His Family Again?

Myers went on to say, “I’m told he is still committed to coming. Both camps are. Certainly, Kate and William will welcome him if he wants to come back.”

But he added, “His intention is to come back. One may wonder, if his wife has just had a baby, I’m sure he could jump on a private jet and make a flying visit. But, will it be a convenient excuse so he doesn’t have to come back and face the family?”

He continued, “I don’t think we will realize the fallout of that Oprah Winfrey interview for some time. Maybe once we get back to a bit of normality, the rest of the family will start thinking about that a bit more carefully. It might not be good news for Harry.”
