According to The News International, the royal aides tasked with working out the schedule for the prince’s visit during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations are breaking it down in simple terms for royals’ fans. They began by explaining just how “desperate” the prince is to ensure that daughter Lilibet gets to meet her great-grandmother. Continue reading and we’ll fill you in on the details.
Prince Harry – Now Seems More Interested in Seeing Queen Than In Security
One aide explained, “Prince Harry is certainly in favor of going, so naturally plans are being put in place for him to make the trip should he want to confirm,” but added, “previously it [security] was a red line for Harry but there might be a resolution in the offering. Harry loves seeing his grandmother and wants to spend time with her and his family.”
As royals fans are aware, the Duke of Sussex has been embroiled legally to pay for his own police escort while in the UK but now it seems that his desire to spend time with his grandmother is more important to him.
Prince Edward And Sophie – Encounter Resistance On Caribbean Tour
In other Royal Family News, according to the Daily Mail, Prince Edward, and Sophie’s Royal Caribbean tour has run into another glitch after island officials warned the pair, “We hear the phony sanctimony of those who came before you.”
The royal couple had been scheduled to tour the island, where the Queen is still head of state, as part of the Platinum Jubilee tour of the area. However, after a meeting between Buckingham Palace, the government of Grenada, the Queen’s in-country representative, that leg of the trip was canceled.
Royal Family – Continues To Live In Splendor, Pomp, And Wealth’ From Slavery
More recently, an open letter to the prince and his wife was written by Ambassador Dorbrene O’Marde, Chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda Reparations Support Commission. It was reportedly hardly cordial.
The letter referenced the royal family’s past comments on slavery and warned them to not repeat them. “Everyone in your family continues to live in the splendor, pomp, and wealth attained through the proceeds of the crime,” it read.
“It has become common for members of the Royal Family and representatives of the government of Britain to come to this region and lament that slavery was an ‘appalling atrocity,’ that it was ‘abhorrent’, that ‘it should not have happened.’” Be sure and stay up to date on all Royal Family News and return here often for more spoilers and updates.
