There is no doubt that Kate is an extremely popular member of the royal family. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip seem to be impressed with her and one royal watcher thinks he knows the reason why.

Kate Middleton and Prince William married in 2011, and she has been seen to be thoroughly accepted by the Royal Family. She does not shake the boat, nor speak unflatteringly of the family. The same cannot be said for Meghan Markle.
Kate attends hundreds of engagements in support of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip every year while raising three young children. In particular, she is believed to have developed a bond with Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, her husband’s grandfather.

The Duke of Edinburgh reflects an old-school mentality and attitude toward royal duty. It has been said time and again that he values tradition and duty above all else; at great sacrifice to his own life’s goals.
According to Juliet Rieden, “On a personal level, there is an old-fashionedness to Philip. A man’s man, stiff upper lip, always intact with all the foibles afforded to men in the British aristocracy.”
The Duchess of Cambridge has embodied many of the same values over time that is representative of Prince Philip. These include the old-fashioned aspects of the classic monarchy no doubt.
Meghan and Harry never quite moved in the same circumspect circle. Unlike William and Kate, these two rocked the boat and seemed to have a penchant for shocking and dismaying those he loved.
