The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a new photo of their second-born child, which has become a tradition for their family as mom Kate Middleton shares the most recent portrait of her kids for the press and the public. Princess Charlotte’s sixth birthday photo certainly didn’t disappoint as she can be seen wearing a blue dress with pink floral detail and of course, a big smile on her face.

The Royal Family says the photo was taken this weekend near Cambridge’s home in Norfolk and ahead of Charlotte’s birthday on May 2. Princess Charlotte Charlotte is fourth in line to the British throne. She’s just one place after her older brother, Prince George.

Prince William and Kate Middleton shared Charlotte’s photo a few days before her birthday as they opted not to post anything on social media over the weekend. That’s because they are taking part in an online boycott by England’s professional football clubs which hopes to highlight the problem of racist and sexist abuse online. Prince William even said in a Twitter post that he would be joining the boycott, given his position as the president of the Football Association in the UK.
