British Royal family news says that if you thought their Caribbean trip was bad, this is certainly looking worse already. There’s a new report that suggests Prince William and Kate Middleton’s trip to Boston is already looking like a public relationships nightmare as nothing seems to be going right for the royal couple. And just to think, many of what they have had to deal with has nothing to do with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s teaser trailer for their upcoming Netflix docuseries. Here’s what you need to know.

William and Kate are in America hoping to prove to everyone that the British monarchy is a modern one that cares about the environment thanks to William’s Earthshot initiative and ceremony. But their trip has been plagued with a lot of embarrassing moments from day one. Both Caroline Kennedy and John Kerry, who were expected at an Earthshot event on Wednesday, did not show. Caroline said bad weather prevented her from getting to Boston on time while John Kerry is still recovering from COVD.

If that weren’t enough, William and Kate were booed at a Boston Celtics game with some people even cheering, “USA! USA!” There hasn’t been much fanfare for the Prince and Princess of Wales too, as the crowds really haven’t been showing up for them the same way they do back in Britain.

If that weren’t enough, Maureen Callahan of the Daily Mail even pointed out, “A video dropped by the Waleses — just minutes before Harry and Meghan’s — only reinforced how awkward and out-of-place the young royals seem among regular folk. Kate was even assailed for clapping too slowly. All this after William and Kate were introduced at an earlier event by a Black female reverend who castigated the impact of ‘the legacy of colonialism and racism’ on the environment.”

Yikes. If that weren’t enough, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle basically drop a bomb on William and Kate by releaseing the highly-anticipated trailer to their Netflix documentary, which has been aptly titled ‘Harry and Meghan.’

It now seems like all of the focus is on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as the royal rota didn’t waste their time at all in criticizing them for their trailer. Some comments included, “Right on cue, Harry and Meghan drop the trailer for their victimhood fest on Netflix.”
