Which is why pundits are speculating that the royal pair, who have been married ten years and are parents to Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, could move to the suburbs.
Royal Family News – Will The Cambridges Move To The Suburbs?
According to a royal source who spoke to the Telegraph, the royal pair want to, “move to Berkshire and start a quiet life in the country.” They will one day rule the UK as King and Queen Consort, but at the moment the job belongs to his grandmother Queen Elizabeth and next will be William’s father Charles. So they may be thinking that in the meantime at, “this stage in their life suburbia makes perfect sense.”
At this time the family live at two primary residences, Kensington Palace in London and home in the country, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk.
Are Kate And William Ready For A Big Move?
The source claims that the couple think the locale is the, “perfect place,” to raise their kids. They already have ties to Berkshire, and it is closer to Windsor Castle where Queen Elizabeth has been during the pandemic. That would make the suburbs the ideal place to be away from it all while at the same time being near enough to the castle to be close to the queen.
Berkshire is also where Kate’s family reside, making the area an attractive place to call home. In addition to her parents, Kate’s sister Pippa and her brother James live there. And since the area is closer to London than Anmer Hall they would have a shorter commute to “work.”
Royal Family News – Will The Cambridge Family Relocate?
According to the outlet, they are looking at a specific property called Fort Belvedere. It is 18th century estate that nonetheless features many modern amenities. These include a swimming pool, a tennis court, and horse stables. It seems as if the couple are serious about moving, but they have not made mention of a move at this time. Time will tell if the family make a huge move, albeit one within the borders of the UK.
