Royal Family News: Princess Eugenie’s Baby Boy Now Has A Name

British royal family news reveals that Britain’s Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have just released the name of their brand new baby boy. His name is August Philip Hawke Brooksbank. Buckingham Palace announced the grand news Saturday amid growing public impatience with the wait to know what to call the cherub.

There had been much chatter about a name, with oddsmakers getting in on the action. Last week it was declared all but a certainly that the little lad would have the middle name Stamp, but apparently that was mere speculation.

August is the ninth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth and the first grandchild for Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York. The child is Eugenie’s first and he was born February 9 at London’s Portland Hospital.

It is being speculated that one of the infant’s middle names could be in homage to Eugenie’s grandfather, Prince Philip. The queen’s 99-year-old husband was admitted to a London hospital four days ago after feeling ill. He remains there at least through the weekend, but no reason for his admittance was given, except to say that it is not coronavirus related. At the time it was reported that he walked in unaided and was as cheerful as one could be under the circumstances.

Eugenie’s baby weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce. Her first child is currently 11th in line to the British throne. The child’s father is 35-year-old Brooksbank, a businessman. The couple married in October 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The pair announced their pregnancy on Insta with a pic of them holding a pair of baby booties.

After her delivery Eugenie posted a picture on Instagram of the couple holding their son’s tiny hand.

The public had grown tired of waiting for the child’s name to be announced with at least one person using Twitter to complain they had a right to know since the taxpayers fund the royals.

Eugenie announced her son’s name along with a picture of the parents holding their precious newborn, wrapped in a blue blanket with a matching cap.

She captioned it: “Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can’t express.”
