British royal family news shows that Princess Kate has captured the hearts and minds of the American public after a wildly successful visit to the US last week with her husband Prince William. The couple were in Boston to give out the second round of their prestigious Earthshot prizes and while there the two made headlines by attending a Boston Celtics game and featuring on the jumbotron.

Their look that night was casual and low key, with Kate in slacks and a warm sweater—albeit with soaring heels!

When Kate appeared on the green carpet in a green dress (get it?) at the Earthshot Prize Awards in Boston, Princess Kate was resplendent but she is expected to bump the wow factor up a notch in London this week.

How so? According to The Telegraph, King Charles will host his first annual Diplomatic Reception this week and Kate is expected to attend, wearing one of the crown jewels, an opulent tiara—a true princess moment!

Ironically, the dinner is expected to be held the same day that the Markle Family reality show drops on Netflix. It’s been dubbed “Keeping Up With The Markles” and both events are predicted to occur Thursday, December 8. On that date fans of the trashtastic pair will be treated to the first three episodes of the Duke and Duchess of Excess’s six part dramarama.

Royal Family News – Kate Sparkles As A Princess

In contrast the royal dinner is decidedly VIP as it is a white-tie event. It was last held in 2019 and was suspended for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In years past royal family members were seen in stunning couture, with ladies in glam evening gowns and tiaras, and men in tuxedos.

King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla will host the Diplomatic Reception for the first time following the death of Queen Elizabeth on September 8. Hundreds of guests will socialize in the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace and the event serves as a festive kickoff to the holiday season.
