British Royal Family News says that while she is certainly shown that she is up for the job, that doesn’t necessarily mean that she feels comfortable in it. In fact, there are new reports that suggest Queen Consort Camilla might not be feeling very comfortable as the Queen of England. At least, that’s what her body language seems to suggest. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Family News: Queen Consort Camilla Feels Uncomfortable In Her New Role
While she certainly has just as many fans as she does critics these days, a lot of people would say that Queen Consort Camilla has done a good job of growing into her role as the partner of one of the most important people in the UK – the King of England.
She’s always by his side, she never causes any drama or tries to take the spotlight away from him and she knows exactly when is the right time to give the cameras a wink to let everyone know that she’s in control of the situation.
With that said, there’s been some speculation that Camilla might be feeling uneasy with some parts of her job. There’s one report that suggests Camilla used a “pacing gesture” when she had Queen Rania of Jordan and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark over for tea at Clarence House. That’s because she apparently wanted to get the official photos over with.
Body language expert Judi James puts it this way, “As host of this gathering, Camilla appears to have uncharacteristically adopted something of a political ‘Power Pose’, standing with her feet splayed apart in what would normally be seen as a gesture of dominance and confidence in the middle of the trio.”
Royal Family News: What’s Next For Camilla?
She continued, “Camilla’s pose might not be quite as powerful as it seems here though. Her rather kindly smile suggests a maternal approach to the two younger women. But the tension in her shoulders and in her hands suggests her usual levels of inner anxiety at being in the spotlight. Even that ‘power splay’ of the feet could be misleading. One foot is placed slightly ahead of the other, hinting that this might be a pacing gesture that suggests Camilla is keen to get the formal photos over and get on with the meeting.”
