British royal family news reveals that not even the coronavirus pandemic can keep the United Kingdom’s monarch, Queen Elizabeth, down at one of the lowest points in recent history. She is the world’s longest serving sovereign and has vowed to, “restore faith in the monarchy,” following a troubled and troubling year.
Throughout her years of service Her Majesty has been a sign of optimism even when the 94-year-old has experienced familial and public woes. Her latest triumph of hope came this week as she welcomed her grandson Prince William, and his wife Kate Middleton, back from a three-day morale-building trip across the country.
The three royals stood in solidarity for a photo along with Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, that was like a ray of sunshine following a bleak year.
Queen Keeps Royal Promise Despite Pandemic As She ‘Restores Faith In Monarchy’
The photo itself garnered speculation as Prince Philip was conspicuously absent. Was the 99-year too ill to be present? There is no word on his health, but there did come word that the glorious photo was a signal from the queen of things to come. Various royal commentators have stated that the eight royals present were to be the only ones representing the monarchy going forward, and the group has been dubbed “The New Firm.”
Out with the old and in with the new appears to have left Prince Andrew and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the dust. Andrew is synonymous with the word disgrace and the Markle’s have made it clear how they feel about Queen Elizabeth and her traditions.
Queen Elizabeth Has Remained Active During The Pandemic Attending Certain Functions
Nonetheless, the queen has carried on despite the pandemic and the disgraceful behavior of some family members.
According to one royal watcher, Camilla Tominey, “This is a woman who throughout her whole reign her motto has been, ‘I need to be seen to be believed.’” Even during lockdown the queen spoke to the public via Zoom and Tominey thinks the public’s opinion toward the Royal Family has been enhanced by the queen’s dogged determination to remain an active beacon of hope.
“That is why the Queen wears bright colors, why if it’s raining she’ll carry a transparent umbrella because she’s always been of the theory that if people are coming to see her it might be the first and last time in their lives they do so.”
Tominey added, “It’s that keep calm and carry on mentality that the Queen epitomizes, it is the stuff of t-shirts, this is why she is renowned as Elizabeth the Stalwart, Elizabeth the Consistent. She’s always put duty first and so when it comes to times of crisis we expect her to step up to the plate and have this stabilizing, calming effect on the nation.”

she is the last of her kind; unyielding, unbending, willing to do what is best for the monarchy at all costs.
