British royal family news shows that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge has grown stronger and more confident in her role as one of the United Kingdom royal family’s most popular members.

In the decade since her wedding to Prince William, royals watchers agree that she has settled into the role of Queen-in-Waiting quite well. But in the end, the only opinion that counts is that of the current queen: Queen Elizabeth. The good news is that according to an inside source, “Their relationship is stronger than ever.”

In 2020, Duchess Kate upped her game even further, helping to reassure an anxious nation wracked by COVID. Last year a Palace insider told Best Life, “The Duchess of Cambridge has become one of [the Royal Family’s] greatest assets for her ability to be both an accessible and aspirational figure.”

Not only was the family faced with coronavirus reportedly infecting two senior royals, they had Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love gesture, Megxit, to deal with. In effect Kate and William became the face of the Royal Family as they doubled their duties as the Queen isolated and Prince Charles recovered from coronavirus.

The source said that the Queen was acutely aware of how well Kate performed. “Her Majesty has always been fond of Catherine, but the Queen was very pleased to see how the duchess rose to the occasion so brilliantly during lockdown and took on some wonderful initiatives.”

Royal Family News – The Queen Appreciates Kate Middleton’s Steadiness

Last year Kate held her “Hold Still” photo contest and exhibit with the National Gallery and the Queen issued a letter praising Kate’s efforts. The Queen wrote: “The Duchess of Cambridge and I were inspired to see how the photographs have captured the resilience of the British people at such a challenging time, whether that is through celebrating frontline workers, recognising [sic] community spirit or showing the efforts of individuals supporting those in need.”
