Royal Family News: Queen Elizabeth Will Pay “Part” Of Andrew’s Sex Abuse Settlement

Queen ElizabethBritish royal family news divulges the bombshell intel that Queen Elizabeth reportedly will pay for Prince Andrew’s sexual abuse lawsuit settlement. The settlement was announced today and could cost in the neighborhood of £12 million, some of which allegedly will be paid for by Her Majesty.

The settlement reached between the disgraced prince and his accuser Virginia Giuffre did not reveal the exact amount of the settlement which will be submitted to the accuser’s self-run charity. Andrew has denied the charges against him and did not admit guilt as part of the settlement.

According to the Daily Mail, the Duke of York’s mother will pitch in settlement money, mere months before the grand kickoff of her Platinum Jubilee in June, “which he will apparently be banned from attending.”

Why Did Prince Andrew Settle?

The settlement was agreed to between lawyers on both sides with some royal watchers thinking the settlement was done in part to avoid overshadowing the jubilee. The family is not out of the woods just yet, as Prince Harry’s bombshell tell-all bio is set to drop this year, and it’s been theorized that he will use it as another vehicle to bad mouth his family.

Giuffre had alleged, “she was forced to have sex with the duke three times when she was 17 under the orders of the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein,” the duke’s friend. Andrew has always denied the charges against him but yesterday, “the prince yesterday agreed to pay a huge sum to settle the case before it ever reaches a jury.”

Royal Family News – Who Will Pay Andrew’s Bill?

According to the Telegraph, “It comes as reports suggest the Queen herself will provide money to pay for the settlement.”

The outlet indicates that the sum total Giuffre and her charity, “will receive will exceed £12m, with the funds coming from her private Duchy of Lancaster estate, which recently increased by £1.5m to more than £23m.”

The settlement did not include a formal admission of liability from Andrew, nor an apology. Instead it stated that he accepts that the plaintiff was a, “victim of abuse,” and he renounced his association with Epstein whom Giuffre claimed trafficked her to Andrew.

The actual terms of the deal were not divulged in court documents but speculation is that, “the settlement itself could cost Andrew as much as £7.5 million ($10 million) – with several million pounds worth of legal fees taking the potential cost of the case to the prince to around the £10 million mark.”
