According to one royal expert, the 95-year-old monarch brought Meghan the Duchess of Sussex, “to one side,” mere days before she walked down the aisle to marry her Prince, Harry.

What happened during Egg-gate? Let’s unpack all the delicious details! Apparently the incident occurred right before the opulent wedding ceremony in 2018, when the bride to be was tasked with sampling the dishes to be served at the wedding. Meghan, “was very particular about having egg-less recipes,” and, “was not happy when she ‘tasted’ otherwise,” according to Geo TV.

Royal author Katie Nicholl spilled the deets to Yahoo’s Royal Box: “Meghan got very upset when she felt that she could taste egg in a dish when she was told there was no egg in there, and she said, ‘No, I can taste it, I can taste there’s egg in this dish.'”

Katie added that as the row was taking place, the Queen walked in. Apparently what she saw and heard was enough that she felt it necessary to take, “Meghan to the side.”

Katie said, “I think there was a bit of an upset when suddenly the Queen walked in, because of course, this was Windsor Castle, this is her home. And she just quietly took Meghan to the side and said, ‘Meghan, in this family we don’t speak to people like that.'” My, my.

This puts in perspective that bullying investigation doesn’t it? Meghan is the subject of a formal palace investigation into allegations she bullied staff—separate from Egg-gate.
