A royal insider told People, “One thing about the Queen is she has to manage being a grandmother but also how it affects the wider institution.” And she has done so splendidly. Earlier this month she celebrated her Platinum Jubilee, an event marking 70 years on the throne. Where were Harry and Meghan during the momentous occasion? They came, they saw, they left early. Unable to stand the consequences of their savage behavior, the thirsty pair flew back on their private jet after they were loudly booed during a public appearance.

The queen has shown her loyalty to Harry even as he has turned against her, for example bad mouthing her as head of the Commonwealth. How so? “Seated on a floral sofa in Windsor Castle, Harry leaned into Queen Elizabeth and showed her a short video on his phone. On it were then-President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama teasing him about the upcoming Invictus Games.”

They said that the U.S. was going to win big at the games and declared “Boom.”

“As cameras rolled, the Queen shrugged her shoulders and said in classic understatement: “Boom, really? Please.”

Six years later it’s Harry who has lowered the boom on his family. Their response? Crickets, exactly what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have earned and deserve.
