British Family news reveals for a lot of people on both sides of the pond, it certainly does feel like a new dawn, a new day and a new era. There are new reports that say United Kingdom’s Queen Elizabeth did not waste any time in sending President Joe Biden a message ahead of his inauguration on Wednesday. Biden is now the 14th President of the United States to have taken office during Queen Elizabeth’s 68-year reign. Here’s what you need to know.
Queen Elizabeth Sends Private Message To President Joe Biden – Buckingham Palace Visit In The Works?
According to People Magazine, the Queen reached out to President Biden before her took the oath of office at his inauguration on Wednesday. Buckingham Palace also confirmed that Queen Elizabeth sent a letter. While the contents of the Queen’s letter remains private, the Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson, sent his congratulatory message via Twitter.
“Congratulations to @JoeBiden on being sworn in as President of the United States and to @KamalaHarris on her historic inauguration,” Johnson wrote in a tweet. “America’s leadership is vital on the issues that matter to us all, from climate change to COVID, and I look forward to working with President Biden.”

This of course has prompted a lot of speculation as to when President Biden and the new First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, will travel to the UK for their first official visit at Buckingham Palace. Seeing how the global pandemic that has been the coronavirus is still making it very difficult for everyone to travel, there’s a good chance that the Buckingham Palace visit might not happen until the end of 2021 or perhaps in 2022.
Meanwhile, President Biden made it pretty clear that he is looking forward to brighter days ahead in his inauguration address. This comes after the violent Capitol riots left five people dead in an attempt to stop President Biden’s certification of his election victory two weeks ago.
“America has been tested anew and America has risen to the challenge,” Biden said. “Today we celebrate the triumph not of a candidate but of a case: a case of democracy. The will of the people has been heard and the will of the people has been heeded.”
