Royal Family News: To Meghan, Diana “Wouldn’t Have Been Good Enough” If She Were Still Alive

British royal family news reports that Angela Levin wrote the definitive biography on Prince Harry back in the day before he was Mr. Markle. So what does she think the relationship between his wife Meghan Markle and his late mother Princess Diana would be like had the latter survived a 1997 Paris car crash?

The Daily Express recently reported that the pair discussed “ditching their Windsor surname” and taking Diana’s surname, Spencer. Tom Bower told the paper that it would be a desperate effort for a rebrand.

There’s been no word from the Sussex camp on that rumor, but we do know that Harry thinks that Markle has the same “warmth” and “compassion” as his late mother.

He discussed the two women in the Netflix reality show, “Harry and Meghan.” At the time Harold said “She has the same compassion, she has the same empathy, she has the same confidence. She has this warmth about her.”

Levin wrote “Harry: A Biography of a Prince” in 2018 and she thinks that Diana would not be a fan of Megs “because she supported the monarchy.”

Levin added about Diana, “She’s very much supported the monarchy, she lived very near in Sandringham, and she used to go and have tea with the Queen, the family did, and she went along and she said to both her sons, ‘You know, this is very important that we keep this going, I want good manners, I want you to like it, I want you to take part in it.’”

Royal Family News: Diana Supported the Queen

Princess Diana passed away on August 31, 1997 after a car accident in Paris. Levin explained that Markle never met the late Princess, but visited her grave before, something Harry wrote about in his memoir, “Spare.”

According to the NY Post “Prince Harry wrote that the Duchess visited his mother’s gravesite on the 20th anniversary of Diana’s death … She did lie flat and pray to her once when she went to visit her grave, but that’s about it.”

Levin spoke to GB News after it was announced that Spotify cancelled Markle’s podcast, “Archetypes.” The most entertaining thing to come of anything related to Markle’s “fraudulent” effort was Spotify exec Bill Simmons calling Harry and Meghan “f****** grifters” after they were fired, a statement no one at the company bothered to correct.

During the Markles’ two-and-a-half year tenure with Spotify they managed to produce a baker’s dozen worth of podcasts.
