Royal Family News: Where Was Comical Prince Louis During The Queen’s State Funeral?British royal family news shows that little Prince Louis, 4, captured the hearts and minds of a curious nation when he appeared at Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in June. The tiny tyke had not been seen in public much since then, and his antics were turned into countless memes as he charmed the world.

His brother and sister, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were with their parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, at the queen’s state funeral Monday. Louis was not with the rest of his family, and the public wondered where the adorable little man was. Here’s the answer.

Royal Family News – Where Was Prince Louis?

Louis has been attending more and more royal events recently and he appears to be taking all of the action in stride. Although he was not with them, “apparently William and Kate initially wanted him to attend his great-grandmother’s funeral,” according to Us Weekly.

“Kate and William flip-flopped over whether Louis should attend the Queen’s funeral,” a source dished. Ultimately, the couple decided that, “the procession and service would be too lengthy and overwhelming for their youngest to handle and digest.” Which sounds like a very sound conclusion. Louis is only 4 and it would have been difficult for him to maintain composure at the solemn event.

Royal Family News – Little Louis is a Charmer

So, where was Louis? The source spilled that he was with the children’s longtime nanny, Maria Borello. Maria has been with the family since George was an infant. Royal watcher Myko Clelland told Us Weekly, “I wouldn’t be surprised if [William and Kate] even asked the children themselves if they’d like to go. I think they very much love their family and I think they take that as their first priority.”

Royal Family News – Kate and William Are Excellent Parents

The state funeral was attended in person by 2,000 individuals and millions around the world watched the ending of an era. Despite their young ages, Prince George and Princess Charlotte handled themselves very well in front of the camera. At one point Charlotte reminded her older brother to bow and mom Kate Middleton was seen to tell them to “curtsy” at the right time.

The only hiccup caught on camera was when George appeared to pinch his sister who yelled “ow” apparently to the consternation of their step grandmother Queen Consort Camilla. Kids will be kids, but all in all the Wales children have shown themselves to be perfect royal kids (emphasis on kids!).
