Royal Family News: Will Kate Middleton Become Queen When Prince William Is Promoted?

Kate Middleton British royal family news shows that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has stepped up in a big way for the monarchy over the last few years. She has been a shining star after the defection of Harry and Meghan and more recently her positivity has deflected some of the negativity poured forth by disgraced Prince Andrew.

Some experts and fans are hoping that Kate Middleton can do the near impossible, salvage the family brand and keep the monarchy intact. Is it too much to ask of a mere mortal? According to Geo TV, the rules will be different when Prince William becomes King. At that time it is thought that Kate will become known as Queen Consort, “and it’s likely that she will opt to be Queen Catherine.”

“Like Philip, although Kate Middleton wasn’t born into the royal family she can never be Queen in her own right, but she can take the ‘Consort’ role – which is what many wives have done in the past.”

There is no real constitutional role for a consort, just by tradition. She will be the first lady of the land, in terms of precedence.”

    Yes, Catherine will become Queen Consort when William is crowned King and that is a long way off hopefully far into the future. After all people, HM is still alive and kicking the bucket, so do not count HM out just yet……tabloids need to get a grip of reality these days instead of making silly articles.
