Royal Family Prepares for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Possible Return

It was just recently announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are stepping down from their royal duties and moving part-time to Canada. Now, everyone is wondering when they will come back to the United Kingdom. After all, they are supposed to split their time between the two countries.

Meghan Markle Remains in Canada

Shortly after the “Megxit” announcement was made, Meghan headed back to Canada with her infant son, Archie. She was reportedly supposed to attend the big meeting with members of the Royal Family, including Queen Elizabeth. It was later reported that she would be joining the meeting via speakerphone. However, whether she actually did or not isn’t known for sure.

Since that time, Meghan has stayed in Canada. Even during the big charity event in which Harry explained why “Megxit” was necessary, Meghan was supposed to be by her side. However, she backed out at the last minute.

Prince Harry Joins Family on Vancouver Island

According to Marie Claire, Prince Harry has rejoined Meghan and Archie on Vancouver Island. Although it is stated they are dividing their time between the two countries, there is no word on when they are returning to the UK. Some speculate it might be several months due to their home, Frogmore Cottage, being boarded up and the key staff sent to other work locations.

Safety in the UK

The magazine also reported that a source claims that senior royals are concerned that the media won’t let Harry and Meghan alone in Canada. That might be what sends the couple back to the UK. They could need a safe place to regain their composure. However, that is pure speculation at this point.

Return Preparations

It is said that everyone is preparing for Harry and Meghan to return to the UK at some point. They will need a place to stay or for their staff to return to Frogmore Cottage. There will also be a lot of questions, such as if they plan on shouldering some responsibilities that Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently carrying.
