As a result of the allegations, royal family insiders recently revealed that members of The Firm, as the royal clan is known, have banned and even shunned the prince. Find out why below.
Prince Andrew Faces Sex Abuse Lawsuit
The typical celebrity welcomes any and all attention from the media. But for members of the royal family, privacy trumps publicity. As a result, the repeated headlines about Prince Andrew have shadowed the way that his royal relatives view him. Those media reports have focused on a sex abuse lawsuit in the United States, per the Sun.
And although the lawsuit stems from the United States, some reports indicate that the Met Police have talked with the 38-year-old woman who accused 61-year-old Prince Andrew.
Virginia Roberts Giuffre sued Andrew, Duke of York, for “allegedly sexually assaulting her when she was a teen,” per Honey. However, Prince Andrew has denied the allegations and claimed he never had a relationship with her.
As for the recent whereabouts of the prince, insiders described him as devoting “most of August and September hiding from U.S. lawyers at Balmoral, with the Queen.
Royal Family Responds To Prince Andrew’s Sex Abuse Lawsuit
As a result of the lawsuit and the negative publicity, the royal family reportedly has gathered to decide how to respond.
Insiders say that Prince William is “no fan” of Prince Andrew. And the 61-year-old Prince’s siblings, Charles, Anne and Edward, agree.
According to royal family sources, Prince Andrew’s brothers and sister got together nine months ago. As a result of the meeting, they agreed that “there is no way back for him” in terms of repairing his rift with the royal family.

A recent banquet and conference proved the perfect testing ground for seeing how Prince Andrew’s royal relatives have decided to treat him.
The Duke of York reportedly got banned from from eating with the Prince of Wales at the conference, which included army colonels.
And the shunning allegedly including blocking Prince Andrew from representing the Grenadier Guards at the banquet.

As a result of the ongoing lawsuit, Prince Andrew reportedly tried to attend the conference secretly. But insiders saw him at the conference with Colonels of the Household Division. Hosted by Prince Charles at St. James’s Palace, the lavish banquet saw the fallout from the lawsuit. The 61-year-old’s post currently is in abeyance amid the ongoing sex abuse allegations.
And even though Prince Andrew attended the event, Lt. Gen. Roland Walker stepped up to represent the elite group, which possesses a history dating all the way back to the Battle of Waterloo.
Andrew’s seating position got analyzed by a royal family insider. “He sat at the back of the room. It is quite a fall from grace,” revealed the source.In addition to the host Prince Charles and shunned Prince Andrew, the banquet attendees included Prince William and Princess Anne.
