Inside The Commonwealth Day Service

The royal family loves a good celebration. As a result, Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee has turned into an ongoing event, reported the Express. And the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey ranks high on the list of popular celebrations linked to the Platinum Jubilee for several reasons.

For instance, the service honors the people and cultures of the 54 Commonwealth nations. But the event also honors the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. And the service also seeks to celebrate Elizabeth’s relationship with the Commonwealth. As a result, all royal family members face scrutiny at the Commonwealth Day Service.

But what about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? A look back at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s final appearance as senior royals reveals that the couple attended the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey. And it also offers clues as to what led to Megxit.

What Caused Prince Harry To Fight Back Tears?

After Prince Harry married Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex participated in Queen Elizabeth’s formal procession into the Commonwealth Day Service. But on their last time at that service, Harry and Meghan got ordered to sit prior to the grand procession. And that snub caused Prince Harry to battle back tears, revealed Robert Lacey, author of “Battle of Brothers.”

As a result of Harry and Meghan joining the main procession in 2018 and 2019, the couple anticipated that they would receive the same honor in 2020. But Lacey claims that the two got “shunted aside on their final appearance as working royals in Britain” that year. And that snub reportedly did more than cause Prince Harry to cry. It also allegedly contributed to the couple agreeing to step down from their royal duties and exit the UK.

But the alleged snub also highlights the concept of Prince Harry as a so-called “spare” member of the royal family in terms of potential for ascending to the throne, according to Lacey. “As now glaringly ‘junior’ members of the family, the Sussexes would simply have to shuffle their way to their seats and take their place on the sidelines. The subservience of a ‘spare’ could not have been more strikingly illustrated,” summed up the royal family expert.

They had already decided to go. William and Catherine didn't join in the procession either.

I feel that it was just the excuse they needed to leave and not the single cause. They were leaving, one way or another.

She wanted to do whatever she wished.
The Queen had enough of Her Nonsense.
Taking pictures in restricted and residential areas, her agenda for "girl power" and not respecting Authority and Tradition.
I'd have booted her out -had she not fled, taking the hostage with her
