Sarah Ferguson has shared a rather bizarre message on the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death.

The Duchess of York shared a photo of herself with the late queen’s corgis, who she is now taking care of full-time. Here’s what you need to know.

It seems like a day, a week, or even a month doesn’t go by that Sarah Feguson doesn’t remind the world that Queen Elizabeth left her beloved corgis in Sarah’s care after her death.

Sarah Ferguson’s Message Honouring The Queen

While a lot of members of the royal family shared poignant messages or memories they had with the queen on the first anniversary of her death, Sarah’s message said, “As we mourn a year on, we also celebrate the wonderful times we shared with Her Late Majesty the Queen.

She entrusted me with the care of her corgis Sandy and Muick and I am delighted to say they are thriving.”

What makes this interesting though is that while Queen Elizabeth was alive, Sarah Ferguson was certainly not a part of the royal family’s day-to-day lives.

In fact, it seemed like Prince Andrew’s ex-wife was ignored altogether by not only the queen, but King Charles and the rest of the royals, too.

Royal Fans Commented On Her Social Media

It goes without saying that many of her social media fans and followers certainly did have a lot to say about Sarah’s post.

Some commented with, “Her Late Majesty knew you were the right person to look after them, and from above she must surely be proud of the love you give them, and happy that they too are such a special company for you,” along with, “Her Late Majesty would be happy to see you being an careful and great owner to her corgis, like she used to be.”

Another fan wrote, “The queen thought very highly of your heart if she left you her.”

So far Sarah Ferguson has not made any further comments about the matter. Her ex-husband Prince Andrew has also kept rather quiet on the day of the anniversay of his beloved mother’s death.
