Serena Williams Selling Hoodie Inspired By Meghan Markle

We always knew that Serena Williams and Meghan Markle were close friends, but who knew they were actually this close?

There’s a new report that says the tennis ace is planning to sell a new hoodie inspired by none other than Meghan Markle herself. According to Vanity Fair, Serena Williams is introducing the “Royal Duchess” to her fans.

It’s a cropped hoodie that features the word “royal” across the chest. As a matter of fact, Serena is a huge fan of the hoodie herself, as she recently wore the $90 sweatshirt during an interview with The Today Show this week.Serena and Meghan first met at the Super Bowl back in 2010 and have since then maintained a very close relationship, even though they now live thousands of miles apart.

But that didn’t stop Meghan from supporting her super star athlete friend at Wimbledon this year, when she cheered on Serena alongside Kate Middleton in the VIP royal box. Back in October of 2017, Serena revealed that she had given the new Duchess of Sussex advice on how to handle her new life in the royal spotlight.

After all, being married to a prince isn’t always easy. “Her personality just shines,” she said. “I told her, ‘You’ve got to be who you are, Meghan. You can’t hide.’”And while it doesn’t look like Meghan Markle herself will be wearing the royal hoodie anytime soon (Queen Elizabeth surely wouldn’t be pleased), Serena said that she had actually sent her a hoodie to Buckingham Palace.
