South Park Slammed For Not Poking Fun Of Prince Andrew

Did they simply choose the wrong prince to parody? British Royal News says that some people think that’s the case. In fact, the hit Comedy Central animation is getting slammed for mocking Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle but leaving another controversial royal alone, Prince Andrew.

Some people think that it’s high time that the Duke of York get his time in the South Park limelight the same way that Harry and Meghan just did. Here’s what you need to know.

South Park  -Slammed For Not Poking Fun Of Prince Andrew

Dr. Charlotte Proudman, a London-based feminist and commentator who has often gone on the record to defend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for one reason or another, took to her Twitter account to write,

“In a South Park episode, Meghan Markle is described as a ‘sorority girl, actress, influencer, victim.’ They make a mockery a woman of color who has been bullied and abused time and again by the media. Of all the Princes to ridicule, they choose Prince Harry not his uncle.”

It seems like a lot of Proudman’s Twitter followers didn’t necessarily agree with what she had to say. They commented on the matter with, “They are not mocking her skin color, you brought race in to it. You can’t crave media attention and then cry when they don’t like you. No subject is off the table for South Park, it never has been,” along with, “This is pretty on brand for South Park. They will go after anyone regardless of race, religion, or social status. In the same episode, they mocked both the Queen’s funeral and those who mourned her. It would have been weird if they hadn’t gone after her.”

Yet, another critic wrote, “Andrew has largely gone quiet. I think if he was to write a book and go on a press tour to try to rehabilitate his image, he would be getting a lot more negative press attention and ridicule.”
