Teenage Princess Diana Pushed King Charles’ Buttons, She Would Have Schooled Meghan Markle

British royal family news reveals that when Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer married in 1981 the fairytale nuptials were beamed around the world, with millions watching at all hours of the day and night.

Now we know the fairytale was seriously damaged, a union between a pampered adult and a teen bride. The 12-year age gap provoked differences behind the scenes for 19-year old Diana and 30-something Charles. One royal expert spills on a particular aspect of “Diana’s personality” that caused trouble—here’s what to know.

Teen Diana Was Mismatched with Adult Charles

UK talk show host Jane Moore frequently saw Diana during the course of her work and she told “Loose Women: The Podcast” that the girl was “quite mercurial. One minute she’d be quite chitty chitty chat chat with you, and then if there was something that happened that she didn’t like, she would be very frosty.”

Needless to say, Moore described Diana as “moody” something she thinks that Charles found very difficult hard to deal with. She added that Charles “just likes things how he likes things.”

Diana Was Charles’ First Wife

Co-host Sunetra Sarker said that the couple was like “chalk and cheese” and Moore sympathized that Charles was “suddenly dealing with this young woman who has all these moods.”

Back to the present day, Moore said that Diana would have been devastated to see the way that her youngest son Harry is now treating his family: “Had she been alive through it, I don’t think it would have got to this point.”

She thinks however that Diana would have loved Meghan Markle, Harry’s first wife, and the fact that she is American.

Would Diana Have Loved Meghan?

Sarker asked if Diana “would have brokered a situation where they would have sat around the table” to hash out Meghan’s failure to become a princess, but Moore thinks that Diana would have talked privately to Meghan about her resistance.

After all, Diana, like most royal wives, had a period of adjustment to the monarchy’s way of doing things even though she was not a commoner like Duchess Markle.
