It’s his party and clearly, he can invite whoever he wants to. By now, many royal family fans probably already know that King Charles has snubbed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by not inviting them to his birthday celebrations later this month.

Even though the King of England’s birthday is in November, it is celebrated during the annual Trooping the Color event in June, just so the people of Britain can celebrate during warmer weather.

Well, make that the people of Britain but without the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Apparently, there was a good reason why Charles decided that he didn’t want them there. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan weren’t invited simply because things are so bad between them and the rest of the royal family that Charles just doesn’t want to waste his time and pretend that everything is okay anymore. That, and he probably just wants everyone to move on already.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield agrees. She told GB News in an interview, “This is the King’s big celebration, we saw Harry and Meghan at the last one for the Queen.

This year, according to the Daily Mail, they have been told they cannot partake in this celebration. I think that Harry has probably embarrassed his family over the last week. It hasn’t done him any favors to reopen any of his old wounds.”

She added, “I do think it gives us a bit of a glimpse into the relationship Harry currently has with his favor, which is a distant one.”

What’s Next For The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex?

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter. But seeing how Harry’s trip to the UK for his father’s coronation was such a quick one, it’s doubtful that he and his wife Meghan would make a trip back so quickly.
