British royal family news divulges that 2024 was a spectacular year for the monarchy, in more ways than one. The clan experienced spectacular highs and lows, and with 2025 just around the corner here is a look back at the accomplishments, fails, highlights, and lowlights of a year the royals would love to put in the rear-view mirror.

Prince William And The Kids Meet Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift’s Eras tour shifted entire economies and shook the Richter scale. Prince William got to celebrate his 42nd birthday at Wembley Stadium, taking a selfie with Swift and his kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Princess Catherine was absent, undergoing a grueling preventative chemotherapy round which she successfully completed in September.

The Wales family grew stronger in the face of Kate’s illness and the future looks bright as the couple prepare for their eventual roles as king and queen.

Prince Harry’s ESPYs Drama

Prince Harry had a moment in the mud when he selfishly accepted the Pat Tillman Award for Service at the 2024 ESPY Awards.

Despite Tillman’s mom and an online petition calling for Harry to back out of an award named for a fallen American war hero and former NFL star, Harry dug in and took his grasping wife Meghan Markle to the ceremony. He skipped out immediately after grabbing the hardware and a voice in the crowd yelled at Grifter “She’s no Princess of Wales.”

William’s Devastatingly Handsome Beard

In August Prince William appeared with a beard and the world lost its collective water. If he was handsome before, how to describe this new look?!

There was one detractor though, Princess Charlotte William said: “Charlotte didn’t like it the first time. I got floods of tears, so I [had] to shave it off. And then I grew it back. I thought, ‘Hang on a second,’ and I convinced her it was going to be OK.”

King Charles’ Royal Tour

Despite battling cancer, King Charles would not be swayed from completing his scheduled royal tour of Australia.

In February it was announced: “His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.”

In December Charles responded to a health question by chirping “I’m still alive.”

Meghan Markle Announces Her Brand

This year Meghan announced on Insta that she has another new brand, American Riviera Orchard. To date nothing has come of it except humiliating memes and fodder for late night jokes.

In other news Princess Beatrice announced her second pregnancy, and her disgraced dad Prince Andrew made headlines for allowing a banned Chinese spy to be his bestie at the palace.
