This Is Why Meghan Markle Got Nicknamed ‘Duchess Difficult’Now this is a name that no one wants to have, yet it looks like Meghan Markle is going to be dealing with it for the rest of her life.

That’s because she was nicknamed ‘Duchess Difficult’ while she was still living at Kensington Palace before she and her husband Prince Harry pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royal family.

Royal author Tom Quinn recently opened up about the matter in his piece for The Times. He suggested that the Duchess of Sussex was certainly one of the most difficult people that royal staffers have been forced to work with behind closed doors.

That’s probably why they were so happy when she and Prince Harry decided to leave royal life behind and move to America.

Quinn put it this way, It’s true that her nickname for a while was the Duchess of Difficult, but she had other, friendlier nicknames, including Mystic Meg, which came about because she was so new agey, so woke, about so many things.”

“She could be difficult because she was finding life difficult — trying to feel her way and work out the intricacies of a positively medieval, labyrinthine system.”

He added, “She  couldn’t understand why Charles, for example, was so formal with his mother. She once said, ‘But they’re mother and son — why are they so completely stiff with each other?’”

“With her American background, she felt when you pay people to do something, you just issue commands, and that Harry should just issue commands as she did.”

“She was very straightforward and matter-of-fact. They really had it in for Meghan and, to be fair to her, she really stood up to them.”

“But, of course,if you make waves in the royal family, the senior royals will always back the courtiers, because in many cases the senior royals have been friends with the courtiers since childhood.”

Now, whether or not all of this is true, no one really knows. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet.
