Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge has been called a lot of things, but savior? Really? That’s a big load for anyone to shoulder, and yet at least one royal watcher asserts that the future of the monarchy lies square on her back.

There is no denying that the popular young mom and wife has seen an increase in her royal duties in recent times. Part of it is due to a decrease in the availability of royal bodies: Andrew, Harry, and Meghan are no longer working royals. And because Kate is in line to be Queen Consort, her increased workload makes sense.

Kate Has Shown growing Confidence In Her Official Engagements

Royal commentator Antonio Caprarica recently told the Amica Io podcast that he thinks of Kate as nothing less than a savior. “I said before the dynasty has been saved by the women,” he stated, “and the next savior will be Kate.”

“If one pays attention, through the history of this family, women are vital – Victoria reigned nearly 70 years, Queen Elizabeth II is at nearly 68 years of reign.”

“When the Queen is no longer there, it’s clear the center of the Royal Family will be Kate.”

Luckily, Caprarica thinks that Kate has what it takes to fulfill her destiny, saying, “She’s got charisma, beauty, poise, and intelligence. So many nice things you need to be a Queen nowadays. It will once again be a woman who guarantees the survival of the dynasty.”

And what of her husband, the man who will be King someday? According to Caprarica, “William has absolutely none of those dissolute, libertine traits that characterized his male ancestors – all of them, from the first Hanoverian George I too, yes, Prince Charles.”

As if to underscore his point about the wanton men in the Queen’s lineage he noted, “Although Prince Charles had always been faithful to the same woman, she just happened not to be the one he married.”

Of William and Kate, royal watcher Erin Hill echos Caprarica’s thoughts by saying, “Unlike some other royal partnerships in the past, this was a true love match. They met in college, they had a traditional start in terms of being a couple. A lot of the time you get used to the idea of stepping into this role and she’s proved to be such a great partner to William.”

She added, “Like Philip, she’s able to know her role as a supportive actor, she never tries to outshine William.”
