According to The Telegraph, there’s apparently a good reason why Camilla Parker Bowles decided to repeat her dress.

Apparently, Camilla wanted to wear it just one more time, seeing how she’s not going to have many occasions in the future to wear it again.

One royal expert said, “We were just thinking about the Coronation and about what it signified generally. I didn’t really think about the longevity or the amount of wear the dress is going to get. Any garment like this can’t be worn too many times anyway – the fabric and all the embroidery is quite fragile, it doesn’t stand up to many outings.”

It goes without saying that many royal fans and critics alike had a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “To me, Camilla wearing the Coronation gown again just screams insecurity. I think she re-wore the dress to remind everybody that she’s the Queen.

The more striking part of the whole event was that her crown was crooked,” along with, “With that smug look on her face, she’s reminding everyone that she won. She’s queen. Too bad no one cares. They both look too tired, too old, too used up to effectively do any job much less act as… wait, what do actually do again? Show up?”

Did Queen Camilla Make A Mistake?

Another critic wrote, “This gown is a historical artifact and should be properly archived as such. Camilla has a gazillion other gowns she can wear. I honestly think she’s just lazy and doesn’t care so she pulled out the first thing she could think of.”

So far Queen Camilla has not made any comments about the criticism, although at this point it’s doubtful that she will. Now, whether or not she re-wears her coronation dress in the future remains to be seen.
