Easter Monday ended the life of a promising young diver named Maisey O’Donnell. The young champion passed away after a horrific car accident involving a trailer, and reactions from the public reveal a lot of sorrow for her family.
Where was The Accident?
TMZ reported the news about Maisey and some of her companions. It happened on Monday, 21 near near Panama City in Florida. Three school kids died as a result of the accident that is still under investigation.

Two of them, “Concord-Carlisle High School students, the driver Jimmy McIntosh and passenger Hannah Wasserman, were pronounced dead at the scene.” Meanwhile, Maisey O’Donnell, who survived the initial impact, later passed away at “the Bay Medical Center.” One more student remains in “critical condition.”
How Did The Accident Happen?
Spring break went bad for the families of the victims, and many people, who don’t even know them, feel terribly sad. It just seems like such a waste of promising lives. While some people moaned on social media that youngsters drive too fast, it’s not actually clear who was at fault.

The outlet mentioned that the kids were in an SUV and the auto accident involved “a tractor-trailer that was making a U-turn in the median.” The impact caused the car to end up off the road in some nearby woods. Maisey O’Donnell was a champion diver from Massachusetts. Sadly, her plans to attend “college in the fall” ended abruptly.
Reactions Are Full Of Sorrow
When the outlet shared the news on Instagram, plenty of people reacted with sadness. And of course, their hearts go out to the other families of the victims.
One commenter said, “O my goodness lord be with her family this is sad news.” Many others reacted in a similar fashion because any death of the young is so terrible to think about.
Here are a few more sad thoughts:
- Will never forget losing my friend in high school in a motorcycle accident, and two months later another friend in a car accident. Till this day, I still feel the loss. Prayers for her loved ones.
- Sending love and prayers to her family!
- R.I.P. Prayers to her family and friends.
- Prayers to the families and the school community.
It seemed special that some of the reactions included the other kids who died, and their school communities. No doubt, there is a lot of sadness at the school as young people grapple with the concept of death so young.
A news report on YouTube noted that the loss is very hard on the rest of the kids. Counselors are on hand to help the students through their grief. Meanwhile, other schools in the area held a minute’s silence for the dead.
