Mitchell wouldn’t mind the idea of a reboot. But she thinks it should follow in the similar footsteps of Beverly Hills, 90210 or Fuller House. Mitchell says that while a 7th Heaven reboot could happen, it’s all about the perfect timing, according to her interview with Fox News. Since there are so many reboots and revivals in the works, she’s not sure if there’s a need for any others. On the other hand, there’s a strong possibility that such a reboot could happen if the general public isn’t tired of it.

Mitchell revealed that she’s still close to Brenda Hampton, who helped create the show. The two talk about the possibilities of a reboot often. They would like to revisit the characters and see where they are now in these times. Mitchell says that she would be “fun” to see where the adult kids are because there are so many of them in the family. The entire 7th Heaven cast is all in on the reboot if it were ever to happen. Mitchell would be happy to return to her role as Lucy Camden.

She’s still close to the rest of the cast as well. Mitchell got the nickname “glue” because she’s good at keeping the cast together. She revealed that most of the cast keep in close contact with one another. Her closest castmate is actress Jessica Biel, who played her older sister on the hit WB series. Mitchell and Biel became best friends while growing up on the show. She refers to Biel as one of her “dearest friends.” In fact, she’s more like a “sister.”

But for now, Mitchell plays the of Ashlyn Rose, one-half of a mother-daughter duo on the new Christmas movie, Rock N’ Roll Christmas. The film shows the two reuniting over the holiday season. It’s nothing like the romantic Christmas movies that you often see on the Hallmark Channel, which is why Mitchell is excited about this project. Rock N’ Roll Christmas premiered on UpTV on Nov. 10 and will air throughout the holiday season.
