90 Day Fiance: The Other Way alums, Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber are not the most popular couple on the TLC franchise. But, they do have an adorable Siberian husky named Poppy. Fans who are also dog lovers seem to appreciate how much the couple cares for their pup. Unfortunately, the last few days saw some bad news arrive after Poppy fell ill. Now there’s a diagnosis, is the puppy treatable? Read on to find out.

Evelin Villegas earned a villainous reputation amongst TLC fans. Meanwhile, Corey Rathgeber, formerly a fan favorite, later endured the same criticism. Actually, things got so melodramatic, that some folks compared them to Paul and Karine Staehle. By the time they married, fans were furious with both of them because they lied about not being married already. But they did like that their pup was at the wedding.

90 Day Fiance stars Evelin and Corey’s relationship has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. In fact, there were numerous disagreements and cheating scandals causing tension at various moments. Despite their rocky patches, the couple persevered and even opened a restaurant on the beach. Often, TLC fans see them next to the sea with their dog. However, Poppy became deathly ill so they rushed him to a veterinary hospital.

A few days ago, Evelin Villegas took to her Instagram Stories and asked for fans to pray for her pup. She told her fans that he had “been hospitalized since Sunday night.” Apparently, he couldn’t “move his back legs.” At the time, they waited for test results. She also said, “Me and Corey travel everyday 2 hours each way to visit him for 15 min, but can’t wait to have him running again on the beach.”

90 Day Fiance fans know how much they both dote on their dog. Plus, nobody likes to see animals suffer. Judging by follow-up posts it seems that many people sent positive thoughts and prayers for Poppy. After all, you don’t have to like someone to appreciate their animals.

90 Day Fiance fans who love dogs will no doubt be very relieved to hear that the diagnosis for Evelin’s pup is not as bad as she feared. On April 20, Evelin said that the veterinary experts managed to rule out “distemper.” If you don’t know, that is very often fatal for dogs, However, a “cerebrospinal fluid” test revealed that their dog has got “toxoplasmosis.” Fortunately, it is treatable and medications will hopefully heal their furry friend.
