Bear Said His Etsy Store Was Taken Down – Instagram

Bear believes he may have been the target of a hate campaign. According to him, anyone can file a complaint based on “community standards,” and that might be what led to the takedown. “All of my products are gone,” he said, with sadness and  frustration. He’s now waiting to see if Etsy will reinstate his page in the coming days.

The Discovery alum isn’t new to backlash, and the comments under his video reflected that. While some fans offered support, others were quick to criticize. One person wrote, “Go find a job. And shut up.” Another one chimed in, “Always so dramatic.” And that at least ads weight to his theory that possibly, haters deliberately went for him.

Loyal Supporters Offer Support

Still, Bear has his loyal supporters. Some questioned why he gets so much hate at all. “Why don’t people like you?? You are awesome,” one fan wrote.

Another one  said, “Misery loves company. Miserable people love to bring down happy, content people… They get some sick satisfaction out of it.”

There were many comments that talked about how his reality TV fame made some folks feel jealous. One of them directly spoke about how they believed Bear had been attacked out of “jealousy,” telling him to “keep doing what you do.”

Was Etsy Behind It?

Not everyone thinks Bear’s shop was targeted by trolls. In fact, several commenters pointed out that Etsy might be facing its own internal crackdown.

“Etsy is going through something right now,” one person noted. “You’re not the only one, Bear.”

Another commenter speculated that the removal might relate to Etsy’s rules requiring items to be handmade or significantly altered by the seller. “Perhaps you didn’t tweak the AI images enough yourself?” they suggested.

Multiple reports online back up these concerns. Etsy has recently removed or suspended numerous seller accounts, citing violations of their handmade policy or use of third-party manufacturing and AI-generated content.

Of course, It’s possible Bear’s book or products were flagged by Etsy’s system. or a combination of user reports and algorithm review.

For now, Bear is hoping to get his shop back up and running. Whether it’s due to platform issues or targeted harassment.
