‘Alaskan Bush People’ Bear Brown Shares Throwback Photo Of Billy

Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown was hit particularly hard when his dad, Billy Brown passed away, and this week, he shared a throwback photo of the Discovery Channel patriarch. There doesn’t seem to be a special reason like a birthday or anniversary, but it’s okay to miss those who passed away. 

Billy Brown Passed Away In February 2021

Alaskan Bush People fans were devastated when they heard that Billy Brown had died after a seizure. Obviously, they were not as broken as his family, and Bear Brown seemed to be devastated. It came just six months after the older man saw the wildfire destroy the ranch where he had so many plans for the future. 

During his grieving period, Bear Brown often shared photos and talked about how much he missed his “da.” In December 2022, near his dad;’s birthday, he told his fans that he wished with all his heart that he could be more like his father. At the time, he said, “It’s impossible to describe the empty feeling without him! “

Bear Brown Shares A Throwback Photo of Billy 

There actually is a word to describe the loss of a loved one, and that word is “desolation.” The trouble with desolation and mourning is that it can hit out of nowhere years after the loss. Perhaps Bear Brown experienced that feeling this weekend when the Alaskan Bush People star shared a throwback pic of his dad. 

The photo that Discovery Channel fans saw on Instagram showed Bear looking on intently as Billy Brown worked on a piece of wood. It looked like he used his survival skills to try and make a fire. Perhaps one day, Bear Brown will show his sons River, Cove, and Everest how to do that. 

Alaskan Bush People Fans Loved The Photo

It goes beyond admiring the older man who raised a “wolfpack” why fans loved the picture. It seems very special to them that Bear shared about it at all. In his caption, he said, “This picture was taken over 15 years ago! Miss you Da!”
