Chicago Fire Replaces Fan Fave

Chicago Fire fans will be seeing a new face this season at the 51house. Season 14 is currently airing new episodes Wednesday nights on ABC, but according to a new report Dermot Mulroney has officially left the building. The chief’s replacement is scheduled to arrive in Episode 16.  Keep reading for all the details, warning TV spoilers below!

Dermot Mulroney plays the part of Fire House 51’s Battalion Chief Dominick “Dom” Pascal on the NBC primetime drama. However, a new report from Deadline reveals that Mulroney has departed and won’t appear in the second half of Season 14. That means that when Pascal airs is the March 4 Once Chicago crossover event, it will be Mulroney’s final appearance.

Rob Morgan Joins Chicago Fire Cast

All new Chicago Fire spoilers from Deadline reveal, “In a recurring role, Rob Morgan will play Battalion Chief Hopkins, who has a long, haunted past in overseeing several Chicago firehouses and is quick to assert authority over his colleagues.”  Fans can expect to see Chief Hopkins arrive in Episode 16 (which should air in March).

Rob Morgan is not a newbie to the primetime scene and you will most likely recognize him from shows like Stranger Things, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, or CSI: Vegas. He was even listed in New York Times’ Top 20 Actors of the 13th Century lists back in 2020.  

What’s Wrong With Chief Pascal

It’s unclear how Mulroney will exit the series, but it doesn’t sound like his character Chief Pascal is going to be killed off. That means he is put on some sort of leave from work, possibly administrative or health related. Reports indicate that a return will be left open for the character, and there’s a good chance he will be back next season.
