Chicago Fire Spoilers – Squad 3’s Harrowing Water Rescue
Season 9 ended in a cliffhanger and the start of season 10 will reveal the fate of Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso), Tony Ferraris (Anthony Ferraris), and Harold Capp (Randy Flagler). They went on a rescue mission to save a man sinking on a capsized boat. The four members of Squad 3 were about to give up on their water rescue when they heard a knock that led them to the man they were seeking to save.
Unfortunately, the boat moves and a heavy cargo blocks their only way out. Now, the man and all four Squad 3 members are trapped leaving them with only a few minutes before their air bottles run out. Fans braced themselves as the water started to rise while all of them were trapped within the capsized boat. The season 9 cliffhanger came after new storylines were introduced including Brett (Kara Killmer) and Matthew Casey’s (Jesse Spencer) love story.
Boss Teases “Terrifying” Season 10 Opening
Chicago Fire showrunner Derek Haas has something to say about the upcoming season, leaving a lot of fans even more worried than before. In an interview with CinemaBlend, Hass revealed that the show opted for a water crisis as Season 9’s ending and Season 10’s beginning.
He shared that Chicago Fire always aims to do new and different things during the finales and that’s why they went for a water crisis. The ending was scary and the start of the 10th season will be “terrifying” as hinted by the opening teaser.
It’s possible for at least one character to meet his tragic fate just like what happened to Otis (Yuriy Sardarov). So, what can fans expect on season 10? How worried should fans be? Haas had a short response to the last question, and he said, “very.”
When asked about the fate of Brett and Casey, Haas said “things are looking good for them… until something major happens.” Even though Haas didn’t give any specifics, his statement doesn’t bode well for the new couple.
Chicago Fire Season 10 premieres on Wednesday, September 22 after the Season 7 premiere of Chicago Med. Season 9 of Chicago PD will also premiere on the same day after Chicago Fire.
