Dancing With The Stars ‘Diva’ Tyra Banks SLAMMED By DWTS Alum Brooke Burke!

Burke, known both for winning a DWTS Mirrorball Trophy and co-hosting the show for three years, just slammed Tyra in a shocking interview. And Brooke’s shade comes at a key point for the dance competition. 

Banks has faced on-going slams from Dancing With The Stars viewers. And some even claimed to have stopped watching the show because of the supermodel. As a result of falling ratings, ABC recently dropped DWTS, which got picked up by Disney Plus. Now, as DWTS looks for ways to recover, Brooke has stepped up to describe what she views as Tyra’s problems. Find out what the former co-host shared below.

But tell us how you REALLY feel, Brooke Burke! When the former Dancing With The Stars co-host got asked that question about current DWTS host Tyra Banks, Burke didn’t hold back, reported ET. And Brooke also reflected on what she learned co-hosting the show 2010 to 2013.

For instance, during her appearance on the Behind The Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast, Burke called DWTS a “tough” show to host. “It’s a live show. And I know those live tapings are a struggle, you know, behind the scenes,” pointed out Burke. But then she hit home with what she sees wrong with Tyra Banks’ performance.

“You know, she’s a diva. Everybody knows that she’s a diva,” slammed Brooke about Tyra. However, the DWTS alum then tried to soften her words. “There’s nothing wrong with that. And I’m not, I’m not saying anything bad about her,” she insisted.

As a result of Tyra Banks’ “diva” personality, Brooke Burke feels that the former “America’s Next Top Model” star just didn’t understand how to host DWTS. “Be a diva,” Brooke invited Tyra. But then she pointed out that DWTS is “not the place to be a diva.”

Dancing With The Stars focuses on celebrities learning to perform with help from professional dancers. And those stars qualify as divas. But in contrast, the host does not get to play the role of diva on DWTS, noted Burke.

“You know, your pros are the diva. Your winner. Your perfect 10 score dancer who’s never done it. That defines diva in the ballroom. So, you know, I just think it wasn’t embraced,” explained the former DWTS co-host about how Tyra behaved on the show.

      I don’t care for her, bring back the old host. They were good together. Also let the contestants win on their performance of dancing not on their popularity.

      I don’t know that she was any more of a Diva than Brooke but I couldn’t stand her. I was one of the ones who stopped watching. Tom and Erin were the best. They gave it a family show where every one cared about each other. You could see their compassion when they did dances in honor of their fathers or mothers. When a tear escaped Tom or Erin’s eyes you know it was sincere. I think moving to Disney Plus is a big mistake. Most people doesn’t have this streaming Chanel, especially the older people who love the show and the kids who watch it with them. My little granddaughter use to watch it over and over every MONDAY and she would then make her grandfather dance with her until they got it right. That got her into dance classes, from there to winning national championships and now she’s a choreographer, and dance teacher. She’s won best choreographer all year. These are special times that we will always remember. Thank you ABC. Thank you Tom and Erin.

      I too stopped watching. I only lasted a couple of weeks WITH Tyra and couldn’t stand Her and was done with DWTS at that point. She might have been good for ANTM, after all she did create that show, her hosting DWTS was just as bad a fit as having her host AGT.
