Daniel Lissing departed from When Calls the Heart and fans mourned his passing, but he appears in a movie this year titled “A Christmas Star.” It certainly looks like as he has no issues working with GAC TV, founded by former Hallmark CEO, Bill Abbott. Actually, his Hallmark fans are in for a treat as he also appears in Season 2 of When Hope Calls. So what role does he play in the new Christmas movie?

However, fans suspected something happened. Well, if he has a problem, it clearly was not with Bill Abbott. In fact, he returns to GAC in another Hallmark spinoff.

Daniel Lissing joins Lori Loughlin in When Hope Calls, Season 2. The news that Lori was allowed to travel back to Canada after her jail sentence from the College Admissions scandal made fans hope she returns as Abigail Stanton. Well, she does, but not in When Calls the Heart. Later, news arrived that Daniel also appears in the show arrived. However, it’s not clear that he reprises his role as Jack. This week, the news came that fans can see him in a new Christmas movie.

Soap Opera News reported that the GAC Family movie premieres on December 12 at 8 pm ET/PT. The synopsis of the movie leans towards a love story. Madeline Baggett (Sara Canning) works as an astronomer.  Like many of them, she hunts ceaseless for signs of alien life in the universe. Well, she’s convinced that she finally found proof they exist. So, she gets permission and heads off to a small hamlet in Upstate New York.

Using technology, she hopes, alongside a film crew to capture her proof.  Based in Summit Ridge, she bumps into Ryan Sparks. He helps her set things up for her grand reveal and they start falling in love. You probably guessed already that Ryan Sparks is played by Daniel Lissing. Ryan Sparks has a daughter named Celeste. Unfortunately, he lost his wife. In the new movie, he’s actually a National Park Ranger.
