Dynasty’ Ratings Plummet: What Will It Take for Fans to Watch?

Dynasty’ Ratings Plummet: What Will It Take for Fans to Watch?Dynasty has already been making headlines for its plummeting ratings rather than its gripping drama. The latest episode that aired on Friday, Nov. 1 has already hit a new low. The CW series only attracted 364,000 total viewers. This is the smallest audience ever for its 0.1 demo rating.

But Dynasty wasn’t the only show with shockingly low ratings. Charmed only charmed 690,000 total viewers. But what will it take for fans to watch Dynasty again? It’s likely that Episode 3 of “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” had some viewers changing the channel.

It’s no secret that Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) loves to sing every now and then. The character has sung on previous episodes. But producers wanted to take it one step further last week by having a musical episode. Yes, a musical version of Dynasty.

It’s not too out of the ordinary since this primetime reboot has already had three Cristals, two Alexises, and more than its fair share of murders. It just seems like a musical episode would be the last idea on their list of crazy plots. The entire hour was about Fallon responding to a gas leak that occurred in the Carrington Family mansion. Fallon often felt light-headed and dizzy, but that didn’t stop her from professing her love to her amnesiac fiancée Liam (Adam Huber).

There were several numbers that were performed throughout much of the episode. The most memorable one was of Blake (Grant Show) and his son Adam (Sam Underwood) who covered the Tears for Fears hit “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.” The two were seen bonding and having a good time. But this hilarious scene was Fallon’s own hallucination.

However, some fans were impressed by Underwood’s singing voice. But it’s still not enough for them to stick around to watch Adam and his mischievous ways. Fans are growing increasingly tired of Fallon’s archnemesis and his incestuous jokes about their brother-sister relationship. Fans are also tired of Liam and Fallon’s will-they-or-won’t-they romantic trope.

Liam and Fallon have beaten the odds to become an engaged couple. But now they’re trying to overcome another obstacle: Liam’s amnesia. Will Liam every get his memory back? And will he fall in love with Fallon again? Only time will tell. Unfortunately, this love story has already run out of hope and steam.
